It is no secret that the all kids need a connection with a positive adult. This relationship has been shown to be the most important factor to combat trauma and any other other adversity a young person faces. Schools are full of kids that need this connection. Communities are full of adults that would love to be that connection for our young people. The question then is how do we bring the two together. This session will address how to build an effective school based mentoring program using the researched elements of effective practice. It can be done. It has been done. And you don't have to figure it out alone.
